On the occasion of New York Watch Week, we are thrilled to unveil the new ProPilot Calibre 111. A new Oris icon for the 21st century adventurer.


It follows the reworking of our everyday Pilot's watch, the ProPilot Date, which brought a series of design updates that made the familiar form of the ProPilot tauter and more visually arresting. It also debuted an original, organic dial texture inspired by nature, featured subtle evolutions to the applied numerals and lume-tipped hands to enhance legibility, and improved the ergonomics of the folding ‘LIFT’ clasp (one of the ProPilot’s signature elements).

The ProPilot line also introduced an inventive seamless fit strap adjustment system. Together, these considered developments made a great watch even better. Now we’ve given the ProPilot Calibre 111 the redesign treatment, applying the same codes to one of our hero watches. One extra here is the elegant fusion of dial finishes. Whether in black or pine, the textured surface now appears as a secondary element, surrounding and poking through the main dial, which is now vertically brushed to add a slightly more formal feel, complementing the watch’s mechanical sophistication

Still in place are the angled bezel fluting and oversized crown, maintaining the collection’s historic links to aviation. And of course, fuelling the watch is our landmark Oris Calibre 111, a hand-wound movement designed in-house that offers 10 days (240 hours) of power reserve, displayed by a non-linear power reserve indicator that shows remaining power with ever greater accuracy as the time to rewind the watch approaches. This bold, fresh expression of an Oris classic proves some icons don’t need reinventing: but they deserve to be evolved.

The new ProPilot Calibre 111 is sized at 43mm and available on both metal bracelet and leather strap, both with the Oris signature 'LIFT' clasp. Additionally, the watch is available in two colorways, black or pine green.
